Are dogs mouths cleaner than humans

The idea that a dog's mouth is cleaner than a human's mouth is a myth!
Here's the truth:
- Both dogs and humans have lots of bacteria in their mouths.
- While there's some overlap in the types of bacteria, dogs have a wider variety we wouldn't find in our mouths.
- The number of bacteria might be slightly lower in dogs, but that doesn't necessarily mean "cleaner."
So, while a dog licking you might not be the end of the world, it's best to avoid letting them lick your face or open wounds.
